This is a creative drawing session designed to help you relax and unwind.
In this exercise, we continue from a previous sketch of trees and slowly build a small whimsical village scene using very simple shapes—houses, hills, trees, and soft details that feel light and easy to draw.
The focus of this session is not perfection, but relaxation. You may notice:
- a sense of calm as you draw simple, repetitive shapes
- a release of pressure when you allow things to stay imperfect and playful
- an easier flow of creativity once you stop overthinking
- and a feeling of rest as the scene slowly comes together
This is also a great warm-up practice. It helps loosen your hand, clear your mind, and gently ease you into more detailed artwork later if you choose to continue.
The reminder throughout this exercise is simple: art doesn’t need to be complicated to be meaningful. Sometimes the most healing part is just allowing yourself to create without pressure.
Reflection: How does it feel to create something simple without trying to make it perfect?
